What is Public Speaking

Public speaking

introduction

Hello, now I am going to introduce you to Public Speaking. Before the introduction, I would like to share my thoughts on public speech.

So public speaking is the process of communicating information to the audience. This is usually done in front of a large audience, such as at school, in the workplace, and even in our personal lives. Benefits of knowing how to communicate to an audience include sharpening critical thinking and verbal/non-verbal communication skills

Now the question arises in your mind that what is the correct definition of public speaking.

Public speaking is the act or process of giving a speech in public. Or the art of effective verbal communication with an audience.

Public speaking is an art as well as a skill to attract an audience.

To become a better speaker we need to follow some strategies. Which helps to make our speech more attractive.

We must focus on our main point, and make proper use of support to clearly understand our audience.

Main body

We should follow these rubrics when presenting our speech to others.

  • First we make eye contact.
  • Maintain body language.
  • We can use hand movements.
  • Your sentence structure is clear.
  • Check the modulation of your voice.
  • Use short sentences.
  • Do not use runner-up sentences.
  • Facial expressions are important.

Body language is an essential part of public speaking success.

Conclusion

Now I am going to end all the points that I shared earlier.

Public speaking is still important for human interaction, despite being most feared and the growing use of technology by the younger generation.

Speaking is the key to the active production of a foreign language.

The Speaking Contest is a tool that builds students' confidence in speaking in both a foreign language and public speaking in general.

So there is nothing to be afraid of in public speaking.

Be aware of your weakness in public speaking and find ways to improve it.

So just accept your fear and start gaining confidence.

Thank you
